Concert performances of 'Il Pirata' at the Paris Opera

Sondra Radvanovsky stars as Imogene in two concert performances of Bellini’s Il Pirata on December 16 & 19 at the Opéra national de Paris’ historic Palais Garnier. Dating from 1827, Il Pirata is Bellini’s breakthrough opera. Several features delineate Bellini’s signature bel canto style and make the work influential to the rest of the 19th century.

Riccardo Frizza will conduct the Orchestre et Choeurs de l’Opéra national de Paris. Ms. Radvanovsky shares the stage with a sensational cast including Michael Spyres as Gualtiero, Ludovic Tézier as Ernesto, Kevin Amiel as Itulbo, Krzysztof Bączyk as Goffredo, and Valentine Lemercier as Adele
