On February 19 and 22, Sondra Radvanovsky will perform a concert at Teatro di San Carlo featuring the fiendishly difficult finales of Donizetti’s trifecta of stunning operas that focus on three of the most infamous queens in history: Anna Bolena, Maria Stuarda and Roberto Devereux.

Ms. Radvanovsky received critical acclaim after performing the same concert at Lyric Opera of Chicago in 2019, with Schmopera writing “with a program like ‘The Three Queens’ Sondra Radvanovsky continues to solidify her reputation as one of today’s leading bel canto sopranos.”

Joining Ms. Radvanovsky on stage will be Edoardo Milletti as Sir Hervey and Lord Cecil, Antonio Di Matteo as Lord Rochefort and Giorgio Talbot, Giulio Pellegra as Riccardo Percy and Roberto, Caterina Piva as Anna Kennedy and Sara, Sergio Vitale as Guglielmo Cecil and The Duke of Nottingham, and Martina Belli as Smeton, with Riccardo Frizza leading from the podium.

Ms. Radvanovsky’s album of this same exciting repertoire will be released by Pentatone and available on most streaming platforms beginning on March 4.
