On April 3, Sondra Radvanovsky will perform in Gran Teatre del Liceu’s 175th anniversary gala commemorating the storied history of the theater. This star-studded evening will feature famous excerpts from three of the most performed operas by the company: Verdi’s Macbeth (117 performances), Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor (296 performances) and Puccini’s Turandot (86 performances).

Ms. Radvanovsky will be taking on the challenging role of Lady Macbeth alongside Ludovic Tézier as Macbeth in the opera’s second act. Next, Lisette Oropesa will perform the infamous mad scene in Lucia di Lammermoor. The program will end with a performance of Turandot’s Act II, Scene II starring Iréne Theorin and Joseph Calleja. These special performances will be directed by Valentina Carrasco and conducted by Marco Armiliato.
